Good, with some caveats... Oct 03, 2010

The Brantford line is nicely finished and just the right scale for a smaller bathroom-the hardware doesn't stick out from the wall as much as some other designs do, so it's great for putting behind a door, for example. If you purchase this, however, you should be aware that its mounting hardware is the newer Moen Pro-Fit design that is intended to make installation easier for contractors, but is (from my experience) a lot of trouble for homeowners. Rather than being fastened with the tiny set screw that holds most fixtures to their mountings, these fixtures snap onto a mounting that is supposed to be fastened to the wall with just one traditional wall anchor that is included and that may or may not be the correct size for your drywall. Some strength is required to snap the pieces on, by the way, and the towel bar/paper roll assemblies are such that the two end mountings must be perfectly lined up for this. I ordered five pieces without knowing this. I installed the towel ring first, but had to remove it from the wall, as it was far from stable when installed using the supplied hardware and carefully following the installation instructions. I eventually decided to remove the wall anchors and rotation prevention tips that were attached to the brackets and use some E-Z Anchor wall anchors with shorter screws, and, for the solid door-mounted hooks, just some screws, instead. That worked much better. To remove the fixtures from their mountings, a small screwdriver may be inserted into the slot into which the mounting tab has snapped, to pry the tab and release the fixture base.

The new method of attachment makes removal very difficult, otherwise it is a very nice product, but I would not purchase again.

I bought two of these when we remodeled the guest powder room. They were directly mounted to the knotty pine wall boards. Instead of using the included drywall fastener I just substituted the appropriate sized wood screw. Very easy to install and looks great with the style of the 'new' powder room. I also bought the same style Moen paper holder, comode lever and robe hook. Very Pleased.

I'm a contractor and install may different brands of towel racks and the related towel rings, tp holders, etc. I am very pleased with the quality and really feel that they are the easiest to install. Most any home owner would have no problem installing them themselves as long as they have a level. Normally I use my own better quality fasteners when I hang towel racks and the related items. These come with a self contained way to install them which I was impressed with. Needless to say, I recommend these. I general, I am a Moen fan anyway.

These were easy for husband to install and I bought two of these, one for wall by each sink in Master Bath. Love the oil rubbed bronze finish.
