5Well designed and well made  Feb 22, 2012
By Dustin Farahnak
This is a well designed faucet. The height makes washing your hands or items easy, and the angle the water is directed (when the spout is withdraw into the pipe) is just right for filling a pot. They clearly spent some time picking just the right height and angle and then built the faucet well. This is a bit of a subtle point, but if you're going to live with the faucet for 20 years, it's good if they get it right.

The button to switch to the spray or hold the flow is a lot handier than you might realize. The spray makes a substantial difference in water pressure and makes cleaning dishes easier.

Aesthetically, I find the simple functional design timeless and attractive.

In short, this is an expensive faucet, but it is a well made and will last.

The instructions are the international kind (picture only), but installing one of these isn't difficult. Make sure you get some plumbers putty and teflon tape. If your sink has more than one hole (such as for the knobs on another model faucet), make sure you order some covers Danco 80247 1-1/2-Inch Faucet Hole Cover and use plumbers putty on them as well.

Just to make life a little simpler, I wrote out instructions for installation:

* Turn off the hot and cold water supplies under the sink, and turn on the outgoing faucet to relieve pressure.

* Disconnect the old faucet and pull it out. You'll need a crescent wrench.

* Do a very good job cleaning the deck where the new faucet will sit

* Run the black plastic ring through all the hoses below the faucet, then run the black rubber seal through right behind the ring, and stand the faucet in the desired hole. I also recommend a small amount of Plumber's Putty around the base of the faucet.

* Under the sink, gather the three pieces mentioned below (one nut, a brass thing with three holes, and a crescent shaped brass thing):

----Take the rectangular brass piece with three holes and a lip around the perimeter, identified as "C" in the instructions. With the lip facing up, thread the hoses through the middle hole.
----Take the moon-shaped-brass-piece labelled in the picture instructions as "D". The crescent of the moon-shaped-piece hugs the three hoses, but the hole in the moon-shaped-piece goes around the large threaded brass pipe.
----The two former pieces are held up with the brass nut. Get it hand tight first, then tighten with the long grey tube tool Moen included, using a screwdriver through the hole at the bottom of this tube.
----Take the black plastic nut, and install it on the bottom the large threaded black pipe.

* Attach the water lines. Apply Teflon Tape on the threads first.

* There's a remaining hose in the box (for the pulldown) with a removable plastic cap on one end. Run that cap through the faucet, from the top, and when it's through, remove that cap and insert that end into the funky plastic hose (you'll know it when you see it, trust me), and depress the funky locking button thing on there.

* There is a roundish weight in the box. Wrap it around the pulldown hose. There's white tape marking the spot. Just take a fist or two and really squeeze that weight around the hose and it'll click on.

* Attach the spray nozzle.

* Turn the water connections back on

5Look No Further! AWESOME Kitchen Faucet  Oct 28, 2011
By JoJo "J."
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1XJBY5HJ38KCE I've now been using the faucet for almost a week, and I'm completely convinced that this is one of the best kitchen faucets you could get. Seriously, it looks good, works exceptionally well, and does the job. If you've been contemplating a new kitchen faucet, I highly recommend you look no further and purchase this one. As I mentioned in my video, the only thing that took me a while to get used to was the amount of water that comes out of the faucet when it's on high. With the growing concerns of water conservation, I'm sure this was the consideration that was adopted when the company made the faucet. If you are used to an old style faucet, you might feel a little frustrated, but please do as I did and give yourself a week. The faucet will win you over; I promise. 5 stars all the way!!!

4Moen's Classic Stainless One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet  Oct 25, 2011
By James Choma
Note that an escutcheon deck plate does not come with this model. You may not need one, but our sink is set up in such a way that the plate is required. Fortunately, we were able to use the mount from the existing faucet we were replacing, so not much of a problem for us.

Keep in mind this faucet measures 15 ½ inches. This is fine for an island unit, but if you have a more traditional counter sink set up, this may not be a good fit. The handle pulls out easily, is flexible, and pivots on the hose. Because the nozzle has more of a showerhead design than a wand, this allowed for more range of motion, making cleaning the sink (or filling the coffee making from a distance!) easier. On the back of the nozzle you'll find a switch to control water flow: one setting for pause and another for spray. The 50 inch hose extends and retracts easily with the hose weight.

Installation was somewhat easy; however, the instructions left a little something to be desired. If you're into pictures and not reading instructions, you'll do fine, but if you're like me and require an explanation to go along your directions, installation may prove to be a bit more challenging. Because the faucet was a little taller than I was used to, I needed help in order to secure it to the sink. But once secured, everything else fell into place.

When all is said and done, you'll have a beautiful, ergonomic faucet with a convenient pull down spout and one-handle lever design. One item to note. We had a professional plumber do the installation. He found that the hot and cold to be reversed. Not too big a deal and something we can get used to.

5Very functional and well made  Oct 27, 2011
By Dustin Farahnak
This is a nice faucet. The style is simple but attractive and timeless. The functionality is strong. The pull down with the high pressure button makes washing dishes very easy. The quality of the materials is very high. When the pull down is retracted into the faucet, the stream of water comes out at the perfect arc for filling pots easily, and I think the height is ideal, too. It's clear to me they put a lot of thought into what would make a faucet easier to use, and then built it with the best materials.

The installation was not difficult at all. The printed instructions are picture only, and a tad confusing if you've never installed a faucet, but not because this is a difficult task... installing a faucet is extremely simple.

I've never installed a kitchen faucet before today, but I got this thing an hour ago, and have already finished washing a few dishes with it.

As the instructions are just pictures, I'll write some basic instructions.

----Take the rectangular brass piece with three holes and a lip around the perimeter, pictured as "C" in the instructions. With the lip facing up, thread the hoses through the middle hole.
----Take the moon-shaped-brass-piece pictured as "D". The crescent of the moon-shaped-piece hugs the three hoses, but the hole in the moon-shaped-piece goes around the large threaded brass pipe.
----The two former pieces are held up with the brass nut. Get it hand tight first, then tighten with the long grey tube tool Moen included, using a screwdriver through the hole at the bottom.
----Take the black plastic nut, and put it on the bottom the large threaded black pipe.

* Attach the water lines. Apply Teflon Tape on the threads first.

* Attach the spray nozzle.

* Turn the water back on

* It's time to wash the dishes, sucker.

5Great faucet  Dec 16, 2010
By C. Wayne Cornell
We got the faucet as part of a kitchen remodel. The on-line price was about half what we would have paid at a regular plumbing supply house. This is a high grade faucet--much better than any you can get off the shelf at Costco or most of the big box home improvement stores.
